Writing your letters to move the world |
Putting thoughts, feelings, and inspirations onto the page. You Have Arrived. Time to Move the World. It all starts with you... Throughout the chapters to this point WE HAvE been talking about, and hopefully bringing you into, the idea that gratitude is a key to transforming ourselves and our world. We've also introduced the idea that there are "HEROs" all around us, (How your experiences reflect upon others... "HERO") including ourselves. Now we want to take all of that and put it into action. Our methodology is rather simple because we believe that simple acts are doable and that small acts create big ripples. "We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop." -MoTher Teresa What we are proposing is sending letters to the HEROs in our lives. We felt that the best way for you to experience just what inspired us was for you to actually know and feel this for yourself. How to make your hero list - who will you send your letters to? Before you can write your letter(s), you of course need to know who you're writing to. So, in addition to the folks you identified in Chapter 10, make a written list of the people in your life you are grateful for, people you would like to thank. This might include people who, when you're around them or you think of them, you feel lifted. Or it may be people who taught you a valuable life lesson or had a positive and caring influence in your life. Do remember to include those petty tyrants who bugged the heck out of you. Possibly even more than those who are easy to be around, these people have had a major impact on your life. See if you can find the benefit they have provided you. (Believe us, that alone is worth the price of this book and the time it takes to list them!) Another way to fill out your list is to think of different situations in your life that you are thankful for... It all starts with you. Take action and begin writing your letters to move your own heart, the lives of those around you and ultimately the world. IN ORDER TO BEST SUPPORT YOUR EFFORTS in writing your letters, we have come up with some wonderful ideas, interactive thinking, and suggestions that will assist you in creating your own unique process. All of this is in - chapter 11 in The Letters That Moved The World. |
